Our four-step review process improves the “value” of your project by reducing its cost while maintaining the quality and integrity of the goods or services.
This review process is client-driven which helps to closely match the engineering design and project decisions to the value an owner derives from the design. The Value Engineering process usually follows four basic steps:
1) Information Collection
This step asks what the requirements are for the project. This process tries to determine the function, need, and desired characteristics of the specific goods or services.
2) Alternate Design
This step investigates the possible alternatives of meeting the requirements without sacrificing performance or function.
3) Evaluation
In this step all of the alternative solutions are evaluated to see how well they meet the function and performance of the finished project.
4) Presentation
This step allows the general contractor to present and discuss all alternative solutions options with the owner.
